This is why the sensitivity and specificity of an antigen reagent approved by FDA in the United States is not satisfactory, and there is no approved antigen reagent on the market in China.


Obviously, if a company develops antigen reagents with high sensitivity and specificity, it will increase its competitiveness and even replace a number of competitors. And the existing new crown nucleic acid and antibody reagents should be constantly improved. For example, the new coronavirus is wrapped in concentrated sputum, which makes the existing nucleic acid reagent ineffective for the detection of sputum smeared by throat swab.
